New 2008 TNLA Board

The 2008 TNLA Board was approved at the TNLA business meeting February 4, 2008, in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Elected President was Aaron Swafford, First Vice-President, Marshall Allen, Second Vice-President, Tim Gallagher, Third Vice-President, John Watson, Secretary-Treasurer, Randall Walker, Associate, Mary Strong and Ex-Officio, Steve Bennett

2008 Wholesale Nurseryman - Eric Walker

Eric Walker, Walker Nursery & Walker Gardens was named the TNLA 2008 Wholesale Nurseryman of the Year at the Awards Luncheon, February 4, 2008 in Pigeon Forge, TN.

2008 Young Nursery Professional - David Johnson

David Johnson, Johnson Nursery & Garden Center, Cookeville was named the TNLA Young Nursery Professional of the Year.

Salesman of the Year - Randy Griffith

Randy Griffith, General Equiment, McMinnville, was named the 2008 William J. "Bill" Reilly salesman of the Year.

Retailer of the Year - Burgess Falls Nursery

Burgess Falls Nursery, Cookeville received the TNLA 2008 Retailer of the Year Award.

Landscape Contractor of the Year - Michael Hatcher & Associates

Michael Hatcher & Associates, Memphis received the 2008 TNLA Landscape Contractor of the Year.

TNLA Presented the Hall of Fame Award to Four Very Deserving Men

TNLA's most prestigious award is given to individuals who have contributed significantly to the Nursery Industry. Four men were honored with this award February 4, 2008 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Dr. Charlie Hall, Texas A & M University

Mr. Jack Huffman, LWN, Inc., Manchester

Mr. Don Shadow, Shadow Nursery, Winchester

This is the highest honor bestowed on a TNLA member.
